After waiting patiently for two weeks it was finally time for Ruchi to attend her best friend’s birthday party. Ever since we bought his gift two weeks ago, she hasn’t stopped talking about his party. Every day she would talk about what she would do at the party, what type of cake Siddhu would have, etc. Since the party was at 4:30 , I wanted her to get some rest before the party. After trying for a while, just when I was about to give up, she fell asleep at 3:00 p.m. When i tried to wake her up at four, she lazily replied, that she didn’t want to go to the party anymore, she just wanted to sleep. I had a hard time getting her out of bed. But once she dressed up, she was wide awake and was very excited to go to the party again. The party was at “Pump-it-up”. She had a fabulous time playing with all the kids. Her favorite was the huge inflatable slide. It looked like she couldn’t get enough of it. After play time, when it was time to cut the cake, she was happy to see that Siddhu’s cake was indeed a “Toy Story” themed cake, like she had guessed. She was a little disappointed that she couldn’t sit next to him while having dinner. But as soon as she was done, she didn’t waste any time to go wish him and play with him. As soon as we were out she was busy planning her birthday party. She has decided that she wants a Little mermaid cake for her birthday. Now we have to wait and see how her plans will change in the next four months.
This day will go down as my most memorable mother’s day, because, for the first time Ruchi made me a gift with her own hands. Like that is not enough, she spent the entire weekend wishing me a very Happy Mother’s day, hugging me, kissing me and also by giving me every little thing that she made or found, that she thought I might like. At school, they made her make a beautiful Fridge magnet, which the teacher said, that Ruchi had painted and decorated all by herself. She also made me a beautiful mother’s day card, which read World’s Best Mom. What more can you ask on such a special day. But yes, I did get more, and that was never having to cook all day long. For lunch we had to go to a birthday party of a friend, where Ruchi had a great time playing with the kids. The highlight of the party was when the Balloon Man made balloons that looked like Disney Princesses. Ruchi got a beautiful Little mermaid balloon for herself, which she treasured all day. The evening was more relaxing, with us ordering food from one of our favorite restaurant and having a relaxed dinner and a movie night.
